2006-2009

 

Following a Degree in Illustration at Hereford College of Art, I worked in photography and design and lived in an Artists Community in Burslem, in my home city of Stoke-on-Trent.

2009-13

It was there that I began working with artist Sarah Nadin, with whom I spent three years designing 2d & 3d public art across the UK and in Europe, working collaboratively with the work’s intended audiences.

2013-2016

Our experience of collaborating with non-artists drew us towards dialogical practices, dispersing with ‘the permanent’ in pursuit of more dynamic legacies.

 

2016-2021

Now working solo, I take an action/research approach to my practice. I research the power of co-creation to restore unity in a fragmented society. I study the aesthetics of cooperation and commoning, and experiment in socio-spacial practices including psychogeography and Geopoetics.

Collective walking, writing and collecting have become key parts of my practice, which incorporate making temporary interventions, installations and happenings inspired by connections between people and place.

I am particularly connected to shards of pottery which I find on the ground, mainly in Stoke-on-Trent, but I find them everywhere I have travelled.
