artist

researcher

My practice falls somewhere between artist and researcher. I use a mix of visual and embodied art alongside more formal research methods to conduct enquiries and document findings. I believe that art can be an inclusive and powerful way for us all to question the world around us, express complex ideas, tackle problems, and to learn and grow together.

My preferred way of working is to embed within long-term projects, community focused buildings and artist-led organisations so that the processes of reflection I instigate become part of a culture of continuous enquiry, affirming the contribution of participants and helping coordinators to become more dynamic and responsive in their practices.

Whether I produce documentation for the general public or for funders, I aim to gather information collaboratively, carefully and rigorously, and present it in a way that is engaging and easy for anyone to understand. This often takes the form of artworks, exhibitions and writing.

If you have a project, site or organisation that could benefit from some focused creative research please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. I am particularly interested in collaborative creativity, community buildings and their neighbourhoods, commoning, and regeneration.
